A ‘Skills Market’ workshop is a simple exercise to develop intra-team efficiencies and trust.
This workshop is most valuable when product teams are first assembled, so team members have an accurate understanding of each others’ capabilities.
In this workshop, individuals write out their current, hidden, and desired skills.
Then, by presenting in a circle, members can tell each other which skills they can help each other develop.
Later in product development, individuals can call upon those with the right skills to tackle specific situations.
