OKRs

Overview

OKRs are perhaps the most commonly used (and oldest) goal-setting method within any organization, and product teams in particular.

OKRs stand for Objectives and Key Results. An objective is a qualitative description of a business goal, while key results are quantifiable metrics that indicate an objective being attained.

OKRs are set with the organization's overall objectives in mind. Each product team's own OKRs should contribute to the organization.

For product managers, you should set these with your team monthly or quarterly, depending on the timeframe of each project.

When used well, product teams will produce work that is more meaningful to the overall organization.
