Overview
The Goal Pyramid is a broadly applicable framework used to break down goals into layers of complexity.
The pyramid consists of four layers:
1. Goals — a concisely phrased SMART goal
2. Strategy(s) — outlining how the goal should be achieved
3. Execution — tactics & processes needed to deliver on the strategy
4. Resources — people, tools, & capital necessary for execution to be effective
Product managers should inherently understand how goal pyramids break goals down, and constantly use it to plan out the steps, resources, and people necessary for achieving goals.
