Dual-track agile teams work on both discovery and delivery at the same time, increasing product development velocity.
Overview
In any agile process, there is a discovery team that identifies challenges, ideates solutions, and validates the problem space. Then there's a delivery team, turning these ideas into usable products.
While standard agile separates teams into one or the other, dual-track agile involves the same people in both tracks. This means engineers also do discovery work & designers also do delivery work.
This methodology closes the 'gaps' between iterations, and allows the team to benefit holistically from the thoughts of engineers, designers, and analysts.
